Domain Status Explained

1. Active

• When domain registration and payments are successfully completed then the domain will become ‘ACTIVE’. Customers can start using it.

2. Pending

• In this situation, the domain is not registered yet due to the issue with payment. This happens when a customer’s payment is declined by the payment gateway due to several reasons. (eg: customer card bank declined the transaction, invalid CVV or card number, insufficient amount, etc.)

3. Waiting

• This status indicates that the domain is not registered yet due to the customer’s given information being invalid.
• This mostly occurs given contact information is not valid or additional information( co. uk and .com.au require additional information during the checkout) is incorrect.

Solution: Customers can retry the domain registration by giving the correct information. If the given information is valid then the domain will become active instantly. If customers cannot find the issue they contact the support team for more information.

Note: Please note that, at this point, the domain is still not owned by the customer until it becomes active. When retrying the domain registration it is possible to the domain already taken by others. If a message says domain is taken. Please contact the support team for the refund process. To avoid this situation make sure to give valid/correct information during the checkout.

4. Cancelled

This status shows the specific domain registration is canceled. It can be already taken by someone or a customer doesn’t want that domain

5. Renewing

This status will show when the domain is under renewal process. Once the renewal successfully completed will become ACTIVE again.

6. InGrace

This status shows when reached expiration date and enters to domain renewal grace period. At this point still, the domain belongs to the customer but if they do not renew within a specified period they will lose the domain ownership.
